What if you stay extra long to finish the job?

We offer service quotes, with a max time allocation. This way you know how long to expect the cleaners to be at your home or office. Should we need to stay longer than the planned allocation then we will notify you and discuss changes. This way you always in control of your budget and do not have to be concerned with surprise bills.

Will the same cleaner or maid show up for all my appointments?

If you’re happy with your cleaner you had, we’re happy to send them to all of your appointments when possible. You just have to contact us to let us know and we’ll make it happen! Plus, if you book a subscription, we’ll do our very best to send you the same requested cleaner every time!

What if I’m not there to let the cleaning person in?

That’s okay! Just leave us detailed entry instructions when you schedule your appointment online so we know how to gain access to your home. Your home will be locked when the cleaner leaves.

Please note: Inability to access a residence or property is a shared issue not only that of NolaMaid Services LLC. We understand things can happen but it is the responsibility of the home or property owner to ensure our team has proper access. Failure to access a property and forcing a reschedule [for any reason] is considered a SAME DAY CANCELLATION (see also "What’s your cancellation policy?).

Do I have to be home while you clean?

Nope! You do not have to be home for your cleaning as long as your cleaner has proper directions for entering and exiting your home. Please offer these instructions when booking your appointment.

What if I only want common areas cleaned?

Make sure to let us know when we contact you with your price that you only want common areas cleaned. You’ll be charged a reduced rate.

Do NOLA Maid cleaners bring all necessary green cleaning supplies to get the job done?

NOLA Maid provides green friendly products to give your home the perfect clean at no additional cost to you. Please note that you must request green products in advance.

SERVICES

Are there any restrictions for your cleaners?

Yes, there are a handful of things that we do not allow our cleaners to do. Ouch my back!! Our cleaners do not move heavy furniture or appliances. We also, do not allow our cleaners to wipe vinyl or aluminum blinds. Usually, these types of blinds are too flimsy and/or it is cheaper to simply replace them. If you have custom made blinds of a higher quality we would be glad to offer you a price for wiping them down (request this in the comments section of the online cleaning form). Our cleaners also, do not wipe walls as this issue is best handled by repainting rather than cleaning. Pet-related issues/problems? For sanitary and safety reasons our teams are not permitted to clean flea-infested homes or pick up pet excrement. Lastly, our teams are not permitted to stand on any furniture or counter/table tops and must use a ladder no higher than 3-feet from the ground placed on a flat level surface.  

Do you clean offices and other commercial spaces?

Absolutely. NOLA Maid can handle any cleaning job no matter how big or small. We have special equipment and cleaners for these jobs. You can get a quote online, call us at 504-517-0333, or email us mail@nolamaid.com.

What if I don’t have a mop, bucket, or vacuum?

Our cleaners carry everything they need to get you clean and keep you clean. We do not use your products unless you request us to.

Can I give specific instructions to the cleaners and ask for special requests?

Yes, special instructions can be left for the cleaning professional when you schedule your appointment online. After the clean is complete, you can rate your NOLA Maid experience and update your special instructions if you want something cleaned differently.

What does a 'Deep Clean' include?

The Deep Clean service is a comprehensive top-to-bottom clean, which includes all tasks from our Maintenance Cleaning and Initial Cleanings with additional focus on cleaning INSIDE of your refrigerator, cabinets and oven.

Should I book a 'Maintenance Clean'?

The Maintenance Cleaning service is perfect for anyone looking to schedule a recurring appointment and keep up a professional level of clean in your office or home. This cleaning is a more basic cleaning of all outer-facing surfaces in your home.

Why do you recommend the 'Initial Clean' to new customers?

The Initial Clean service is the recommended level of service for first-time clients and anyone who does not have a regular cleaner. This is a comprehensive cleaning of all outer-facing surfaces in your home, with a focus on dusting and scrubbing any areas that need a little extra TLC.

OTHER

Do I get a discount if I’m a frequent customer?

Yes, customers who sign up for a subscription are entitled to significant discounts. For weekly service we offer a 15% discount, for biweekly service we offer a 10% discount, and service every four weeks gets a 5% discount.

I’m having trouble with the website.

What if I just had renovation work done?

We provide a customized post-construction clean for these types of situations. Please contact us at 504-517-0333 or email us at , mail@nolamaid.com to coordinate this and receive pricing information.

What if I want the maid to change my sheets?

We always make the bed. If you want us to remake the bed with new sheets, just leave your new sheets on top of the bed.

Will you do my laundry or clean my windows?

Laundry services and window cleaning are additional services that are not included in your standard clean. We can include laundry service for an additional $33 for up to 2 loads, and cleaning of the INSIDES of your windows for an additional $5/window. You must have a washer and dryer in your building. Please note that you must notify us PRIOR to the appointment in order to allow appropriate timing for the cleaners schedule.

I think my cleaner broke my . . .

To err is human, to forgive is divine! We are not perfect and we do make mistakes sometimes. If we accidentally break something and have not already notified you it is likely that our team was unaware of the broken item. We have a no fire policy with broken items for our teams and they are rewarded with amnesty for letting us know before you do. With that said, stuff can happen. In any case, if we broke it we will fix it.

Please note: Broken or damaged item must be reported the day of the cleaning.

BILLING

Do I have to leave a tip?

Tips are not required but are certainly appreciated by our cleaners.

What’s your cancellation policy?

You are free to cancel your service at any time, however, we have a $20 SAME DAY CANCELLATION FEE which is charged only if you cancel less than 48 hours (2 business days) before your scheduled appointment.

How do I switch my billing information/methods?

To switch your billing information/methods, simply contact your account executive or call 504-517-0333 to make the changes.

How much does it cost?

NOLA Maid pricing is based on the size of your office or home and the desired level of service. You can get a cleaning quote online to find the pricing for your specific needs.

What if I want a cleaner by the hour?

Our minimum appointment is a $75. If you would like to forego our standard pricing and hire an HOURLY cleaning team, we can provide this at a cost of $75 for the first hour and $42/hour after that. When does my card get charged?

Your credit card will be charged after the cleaning on the day that your appointment takes place. You will receive an automated email with the transaction summary to notify you when and how much your card is charged.

TRUST & SAFETY

Does NOLA Maid use cleaning products that are safe for all surfaces?

All of our cleaners are trained to use products that are safe for all surfaces, including: stainless steel, tiles, glass, wood, etc.

Does NOLA Maid have excellent references?

Yes, we have serviced thousands of happy customers and hundreds of offices. If you’d like to see our references, please let us know or give us a call!

Is NOLA Maid pet safe?

We love animals, but they don’t always love us. If you think your pet may become anxious while we are there, please make temporary arrangements while we are in your home. You can also leave detailed pet instructions during the online scheduling process.

Can I trust NOLA Maid cleaners?

Absolutely. All NOLA Maid cleaners and maids are highly trained, background and reference checked. Our training period can lasts up to four weeks or sooner if we have a genius on our hands.

How long have you been in business?

Though we only recently acquired our namesake, NOLA Maid has been in business serving thousands of Greater New Orleans businesses and residents since 1997.

Are you insured?

Yes, NOLA Maid is bonded and insured for your protection. We understand that it is an honor and privilege to be in your home, and we are always careful. In the unlikely event that an object is damaged, please notify us within 24 hours.
